Kuznetsov Igor Vasilevich, born October 24, 1964, resident of Tomsk, well-known activist, journalist for the RusNews online project covering political trials, video blogger, studied the history of Tomsk public movements, worked as a janitor in a museum. On March 20, 2024, in the politically motivated case of "Left Resistance" under Part 2 of Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Participation in an extremist community"), he was sentenced to 3 years of suspended imprisonment.
On April 5, 2024, under paragraph "c" of Part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Actions aimed at inciting hatred or enmity, as well as humiliating the dignity of a person and a group of persons on the basis of belonging to a particular social group, committed publicly, using the Internet, by an organized group") and Part 1.1 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Involvement of a person in organizing mass riots accompanied by violence, pogroms, arson, destruction of property, the use of other substances and objects that pose a danger to others, as well as armed resistance to a government official") was sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment in a general regime colony.
